SEVERELY MATTED PETS

Every effort is made to protect your pet’s skin and coat while removing the hair on matted pet. The safety and comfort of your pet is our top priority. A pet’s coat that has not been attended to for a long period of time may become extremely sensitive and incur clipper marks, abrasions, rashes, nicks, itchiness or redness. Shaving extremely matted ears may also encourage head shaking and hematoma.

BEHAVIORAL ISSUES

The Furry Tail Luxury Mobile Pet Spa reserves the right to refuse service on some pets if we feel that they will be best served in a veterinary facility. However, if we agree to groom pets with behavioral issues, charges will be set in accordance with their behavior. We do not muzzle/restrain pet unless completely necessary. We refuse to groom dogs that bite. Nail cutting/ear cleaning are part of the service unless the procedure is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer.

SENIOR PETS/ PETS WITH HEALTH ISSUES

Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior pet or pet with health problems. Grooming can expose hidden medical conditions or aggravate existing conditions during or after the grooming process. Because senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort in styles that will not add to their stress. The Furry Tail Luxury Mobile Pet Spa will not be responsible for an accident or injury to an elderly or health compromised pet during their groom.

FLEAS/TICKS

For the safety of our pet clients, we do not accept dogs with flea infestations. However, in the event that we encounter parasite during grooming, owners will incur additional fees for parasite control & fumigation of vehicle.

PAYMENT OF SERVICES/ BOUNCED CHECK FEE

Payment is to be made at the time of service. We accept cash, credit card and checks. Bounced checks will incur a $35 fee. If a check gets returned for insufficient funds, future mode of payment will be cash basis only.

APPOINTMENTS/ NO ACCESS FEE

Mandatory fee of $65 will be issued if pet is not available to be groomed during appointment time. Please cancel appointments 24 hours prior to appointment date. In the event we arrive for a scheduled appointment and find no one there to release the pet to our care, an invoice for the full amount grooming will be left for you. Future appointments will not be made until this amount is paid in full.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT AUTHORIZATION

The Furry Tail Luxury Mobile Pet Spa agrees to exercise utmost care of your pet during its spa appointment. However, owner acknowledges that no amount of care and supervision can guarantee 100% from the pet being injured and hereby authorizes The Furry Tail and/or agent thereof, to act as agent in the event emergency veterinarian services, boarding, care-taking, and/or transportation is necessary and agrees to pay all costs. Any/all damages, loss or claim shall include, but not be limited to injury, or shock. Said pre-existing conditions shall include, but not be limited to advanced age, extreme nervousness, neurosis, illness, previous injury, skin or coat conditions, or medical conditions.

RELEASE FOR PHOTO USAGE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

The Furry Tail, Inc. uses social media platforms to include Instagram and Facebook to share before and after photos of groomed pets, helping showcase our talent and attract future clients. Check the box following this section if you authorize photos of your pet to be used on social media.
